This video instructs teachers on how to create a 'Marked As Done' assignment in Google Classroom. For example, you may wish to instruct your students to simply read a chapter or chapters in a book or textbook. Once completed, we need a way to have the students confirm they have completed this task/assignment. While they may not be "turning an assignment in", they will be required to mark their assignment as 'done'.

go through the process of a teacher creating an assignment such as reading a chapter or chapters in a book or an equivalent in Simply Having the students Mark that a task or assignment is done set of submitting work back to the teacher we think this is a very valuable tool and it helps to keep our students accountable and checked into their devices throughout the day first we want to make sure we are in Ark classroom as you can see in my example I have two classes to a science and want a English we're going to choose to spend our time in 1 English so we click once and I want to English class this will r18 English class workspace I will proceed to click on the classwork Link at the top of the screen click once I create click once on a Simon here we're going to title the assignment or the task of the student in this case will title the assignment The Great Gatsby read chapters 1 3 as always we encourage you especially early in this process to provide a brief set of instructions for your students to help guide them through in this case we almost wrecked them to read chapters 1 through 3 and Mark your assignment is done finished in previous examples of creating an assignment we would always have to add content or create content or and resources such as the assignment to proceed in this case we've all title the assignment we provided them with instructions there's really nothing to return back to the teacher we solely want or we simply want the student to Mark the task is as finished when we move to the right side of the sky you still have the decision to at a point total to this assignment or task or Mark the assignment as ungraded we can set a due date is Friday the 20th and we will assign assignment to our class once again the assignment was to read chapters 1 through 3 of The Great Gatsby I don't know switch accounts to a student Siri and see what our test student Alex Olson sees when logged into his device we are now under Alex Olson's account he has access to both of the classes to a science one English you can see in Alex's account is one English class is populated with the Great Gatsby Tasker assignment which is due Friday if we click into the class we can he can access this assignment through his stream or by clicking on class work above Alex will proceed by clicking on the assignment The Great Gatsby re chapters 1 through 3 can view the assignment and once he has completed reading chapters 1 through 3 he can simply come over to the right and Mark is done what's one additional confirmation wheel click Mark as done and you can see that the status is now switch to turned in if I go back to the teacher account to do classroom Classworks we can see that now the teacher account one of the assignments was turned in if I click on that we can see that Alex Olson has turned in or marked is assignment as done will be found this fit bubble thank you
